I totally agree.  Red China-Mart is not the place to spend money, and my entire family avoids the place.  Concern for fellow human beings is worthy of paying a tad higher price.  Besides Target is a better store with invariably much better product quality.  Now that K-Mart owns Sears, they have a lot more worth buying as well.  They ruined Sears excellent sales staff, but the products haven't degraded yet, so we'll just have to wait and see.

As to car batteries, the 6 year old battery that came in my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee is still just fine.  I'd probably try and get the same Mopar brand again based on my satisfaction. Whoever is making batteries for Chrysler is obviously doing an excellent job.

Yes, Target is a better store in general, but on the subject of this thread ("Car battery"), Target is rather useless, as they do not carry car batteries.  In general, Target's automotive section is quite limited.  Wal-Mart's automotive section is nearly as well stocked as a dedicated auto parts store.  Both Wal-Mart Everstart and Sears Die Hard batteries (among others, like Costco Kirkland and Autozone Duralast and Valucraft) are made by Johnson Controls, although specifications may differ.  However, contrary to popular belief, Wal-Mart Everstart batteries are not necessarily the least expensive batteries.
