Talk about TV shopping:  Sony KV-32HS510 32 " HDTV 's are bad

I bought a new 32"  Sony HDTV form Sears in October 20003 and the TV already needs repair. The Led light stays on and  has a popping noise. Has anyone had a similar experience with Sony TVs.  Now they say it will be 12 days before the service tech can come out. My last TV lasted 10 years with no repair, but it was not a Sony.
